This readme came with phlatBone v1.1

Features …

******************************************************************

phlatBone is a suite of tools to create rad-bone and t-bone internal/external corners.

******************************************************************

Please MANUALLY remove from the Plugins folder, any loose files from the ORIGINAL PhlatBone v1.001 install.
They will be …

cursor_tbone.png
dogBoneMulti.png
dogBoneSingle.png
tBoneMulti.png
tBoneSingle.png
toolDiameter.png

The new files are now contained in a separate folder within the Plugins folder ...

******************************************************************

The following 1 file and folder which were in the zip file should be moved to your 'Plugins' folder…

phlatBone.rb

phlatBone (folder)

For your info, the phlatBone folder contains the following 12 files …

radBoneMultiOut.png

Please allow the system to replace any that were there originally (or move them yourself for safety if you wish).

Once the files have been moved, you can fire up SketchUp again.

You should see a new sub-menu item under the 'Tools' menu …
'PhlatBone' - with menuitems 'Tool Diameter…', 'Dog Bone Multi', 'Dog Bone Single', 'T Bone Multi' and 'T Bone Single'
There is also a matching toolbar.

---------------------------------------------
Use
---------------------------------------------

Rad-bone or T-bone internal corners are used to remove the radiused corners created during routing allowing rectangular corners to fit neatly.

It's up to the individual which type you choose.

Bear in mind that this tool that will only work on 90 DEGREE CORNERS !!!

The 90 degree corners CAN now be rotated 'though.

OK, with that in mind, select the 'Tool Diameter' or tool/menuitem - a dialog pops up asking for the tool diameter either in millimetres or decimal inches (if you need it in some other system, convert it :-) - hit OK - it will save the diameter permanently until you change it again in the dialog - you do not need to edit any preferences file !

Next option is whether you want to do multiple bones or choose the corners individually.

For multiple bones, choose one of the multi-bone tools.
As you hover over a corner, the valid corners will be highlighted.
To swap direction of the T-Bone corners, hold down the shift key while clicking the corner.
Click any corner of the face you want boned.

There are inside and outside versions of the multi bone tools.

To single bone, just select either the Rad-Bone or T-Bone single tool.
As you hover over a corner, the valid corner will be highlighted.
To swap direction of the T-Bone corner, hold down the shift key while clicking the corner.
Click any corner of the face you want boned.

The corners you want to bone MUST meet at a vertex that DOES NOT intersect other edges (ie, just a 90deg corner with two lines).

If you screw up, just keep hitting Command + Z (Mac) or Ctrl + Z (Win) :-)

Most of all, have fun - and remember this is just a hobby !

Feel free to PM me.

Best regards

Neil
