Quick notes on the p99 test model. Overhead gantry, although in theory it should work on an MK1/MK2 with modifications for depth.

I used 2" thick blue foam 24"x15".

Hot glue 3/8th thick yard sticks to each long/side, flush with the bottom edge as rails.

Tape bamboo skewers (2 each side) to the top of the foam where the pressure rollers contact the foam. This is extremely important!

I used socket heads clamped to my printer as alignment guides. This prevents any lateral skew of material.

1/8th" tile cutting bit was used for the roughing, finishing, and then the waterline passes.

1/16th" chip breaker with collet adapter removed was used for the pencil pass.

The roughing pass was about 150ipm. Finishing ~100ipm, Waterline ~120ipm. Pencil was 50ipm.

*Probably could have gone much on higher feedrates but I didn't want to risk it.
