So this weekend I wanted to try out sculptris. Sculptris is a free program similar to zbrush where you can easily model organic shapes via a sculpting method (its like sculpting clay). I was super impressed with this program and was able to easily make this head in under an hour with only watching this tutorial and playing around with the program for a half hour to get a feel for the tools

Hey guyz, here is the Phlat vase we did on the PhlatLAB for 1/11/2012
See if you can come up with some other interesting designs for the 'fins' (sides) of the vase. You can manipulate one of the sides and the rest will follow suit
A short tutorial was created to go along with the creation of this vase so if you want to learn how it was made check out the PhlatLAB show link below.
Have fun and be sure to post your creations

The ARKANSAS Arkansas Razorbacks logo in layers for your shop!

You will need to use a carrier foam board for the cutouts as there is no tabbing. Just tape the two board together and use the same board for all three cutouts your parts should stick to the foam as shown in this tabless cutting video.

Using the sketchup files as reference paint and glue the parts in place. Hang on the shop wall proudly!
Enjoy

Here is a cool looking Indian head that was created from a black and white picture file then cut out using 6mm depron (Black and White)
Used Vector Magic to creat the vector to import into Sketchup you can find it here
http://www.phlatforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=147&t=1541#p15106
The head is cut from white and the backing and stand from black.
I have not tried to cut the stand yet but it should work fine.
I used 3M spray...
