Phlat Limit switches Z gantry

    Here is my 1st "Phlat mod".
    these were posted back in the RC Groups forum, way,way nesterday.
    Since we have our own forum now thought I would repost ;).
    Do to tight tolerance on the Z axis, I need to drop the bottom switch 1.5 mm so that our standard code will quit turning off the Z axis :lol:
    I have these on the Y axis also using cat5 wire instread of wire provided.
    The only part glued on the whole Phlat printer is the red area, the rest is ALL screws :shock:
    When my wife takes more pics, i'll post if interested....

    at leat it warmed up to -4*.
    Mark, what do you do in construction?
    In one of your videos, you refered to a "Pair of Klein's" i.e Lineman pliars, or electrician's hammer :lol:

    Not really but I was in training to be an industrial electrician for about 5 years I did electrical work in FL One place was at a Phosphate plant, crazy place to work. The sign outside the main driveway to get into the plant always said "0 days without and accident" I don't think it ever changed :roll: Everything there was really high voltage (4160) and large machines. I really thought that I would end up going that route, but there were other plans for me (thank God)

    My father is a builder in FL and I have spent most of my life as a carpenter learning how to build houses from the ground up from him (thanks Dad) I have been working up here in NJ on my own, but when my Dads up here he helps me and when I am down there I help him.
    There is no such thing as going to Fl for a vacation because someone always needs you on a job :) which is OK because that is what it is all about, and its nice for all the guys to get together and hang out while accomplishing something along the way.
    Its a very satisfying feeling to know that you have the know how to create an entire house. I know that my heart is really into building and designing so I have always done this type of thing on the side, who knows maybe someday I will be able to make enough to do this all the time and work for myself. :mrgreen:
