I finally got the sewing machine action out of the file.
It took me a while to figure it out but i finally have it !

Now the bit goes around the graphics with a minimum of retraction.

I also resized the plane to 32" and did away with the motor cutout.
because i will be using a stick mount and everyone else will use a different motor.
Just cut out that area to suit your motor !
I also didnt have the machine cut the ailerons loose. I will do that the old fashon way with the hobby knife.

Have fun and remove any graphics you choose . ;) Attached files Red Bull.cnc (95.1 KB)Â Red Bull.skp (1.5 MB)Â

I just got home from work today and found a box of 3mm Depron on my doorstep. I had to go and cut a bull. 1/16th bit and 3mm depron, perfect cut. I stopped at Harbor freight yesterday and bought me an airbrush kit, they didn't want to give me my AMA discount, but I wasn't leaving the store until they did! So, I cut the Red Bull plane and stuck it to a piece of cardboard (the box my foam came it) and started to paint the base coat of blue. It does not look right, do I have to prime depron before painting?

Bruce, Awesome job on the files!

Also, is there a way to use the sketchup file to create some stencils for this? One for the Letters, the bulls, the yellow sun, etc?

Attached are the pics, this is my first white stuff plane! Attached files [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Awesome ! :D Im glad the files worked for you !
There is a small trick to painting with the airbrush.
Several light coats are much better than one heavy coat.

and the painting templates are all there, You just have to dig them out
of the File (EASY) ! ;)

Of course the Blue wonder is the motor of choice and a 9x4.7 black sf prop
3cell 450 or something close should fly your plane nicely.

after the motor is installed place the battery on the cg location for the flying stile you prefer,
then move the servos and reciever around to balance.... for more regular stile flying 1/3 the cord including ailerons .
for fun though i balance at 50% and have flown some even much further back than that.
The wing and fuse will need reinforcement, there are several ways to do that .......

While I was in Toledo I picked up a blue wonder, but I was thinking it would be to big for this plane? I was thinking by looking at the size in the pictures it would be a 10 or 17 gram motor?
