Well I finaly decided to put this one up. It's a stable quick flyer that is more fun than I ever imagined it would be. I used a 1/4 carbon tube as a spar (that's what the slots cut for) but use what you have on hand. The foam booms are stronger than you'd think they are. Time to give a bit more back to the community.

This is released for non comercial use. Attached files [IMG] blu-38(0625).skp (969.7 KB)Â blu38(0625bit).cnc (53.7 KB)Â

Glen this is really nice! When we were talking about it I had no idea it was this cool looking. I love the use of a foam spar for the main tail booms.
Nice job thank you for sharing this

Klondar, I think that the top fuse center section does not fit. Lay the center over the outsides and you'll see that the tabs are offsetted by their width.

I guess that the above is a 'never mind'. I see that the bottom part is offsetted too so I guess you did it on purpose. But the bottom outside part has the firewall mount slanted back. Is that on purpose too. The center part is not.

Yep, done to make it go together one way, Build each of the components seperatly, then just plug them each into the wing and your all set. As for the slant on the FW mount/lower Fuse, it's to build in just a bit of down thrust, It helps keep it flying true. The center should have the same angle, looks like I missed it. Shouldn't be any problems though, just hit it with a bit of sand paper to make them level. I'll try and fix it and get them reposted when I get a bit of time.

For the CG, start at the spar and adjust to your liking.

Chuck - Where can you buy left-handed three-bladed props? :?:
I've searched and never found them.

I will look into my 'history', Dennis. I just saw it yesterday or the day before. I hope I can find it again.

Edit: Sorry, I can't find it but I know I saw it just recently in one of the hobby sites.

Edit: While these are not the ones that I had in mind, they may work for you anyway. :D http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/stor ... oduct=5249

Dennis. I bought two from Tower Hobbies (apc). I think Grayson has them also. If you need me to give you part/stock number from Tower, let me know. I made a Funder n' Lightning with this setup and it did great. Amazingly, I had only one speed control, 25A, and it powered both motors with no difficulty. Honestly, a 30A would have been better.

Someone just mentioned Hobby King (Hobby City). Has anyone else noticed suddenly they are back ordered or out of stock on almost everything you would want? I have a hunch stateside hobby shops and dealers are buying this stuff up faster than they can keep it in stock. I can't really get anything from them anymore. If any part of your order is back ordered, it is the kiss of death!!!

sdparkflyers: I am almost finished with the SDGEEBEE version you last posted, the one with the increased cord wing. I probably will fly it next Tuesday so I will let you know how it does.
