While working in SU I have a terrible time keeping up with my mouse pointer. After watching some SU videos I have noticed some people (Mark) have a highlighted pointer, (arrow inside a yellowish translucent circle). I am using XP pro and I know how to change my pointer but it seems to have no effect inside SU nor do I have that specific pointer in my selections.

Is this a downloadable pointer set or is it specific to Windows 7 or is there a setting somewhere in SU that I have missed somewhere?

Put your glasses on Buk! AHHH that was just too easy  The pointer Mark has in his recording program is just a teaching aid so you can see the area he is working on not sure you can pull that off within Sketchup.

Well, if anybody knows how to help a blind brother out in SU, let me know.

Frank, go play with your foam :D

In sketchup go to window-preferences-drawing and check display crosshairs and give that a shot

Thanks Jeff, I'll give it a try. I think I tried that once but once you hit age 40 everything kinda runs together...

Blahahaha!!! Just kiddin' Mark. hehe

Or maybe some screen magnifier software would work, like this one. Check at 2:10 mark:

Wow, it actually cleans up the fuzzy text when zoomed in. Might be useful all around, for vision problems.

Thanks Kwok, I use windows magnifier but the magnification follows the pointer which mags what you are pointing at but it it would be good to have something to mag the entire screen. I will check it out.

7up, it actually looks like it has adjustments to change just the cursor size, color or put things like circles or crosshairs around it. But I found out after posting, it's insanely expensive.

I found a list of free & shareware ones you can look through.
    http://www.magnifiers.org/links/Downloa ... shareware/

I gave this one a try and actually worked great, but still no good because it deactivates when you click. And I can't get rid of the magnify, lowest is 2x.

anks again. The iZoom looks great but I also checked the price and you are right, too expensive.

I will check these others out for now.

You could just get some computer prescription glasses and keep them by the keyboard. I did, then I got another set to take to work - and I'm definitely over 40!

I know this is a little off the topic, but thought I'd throw it out there just in case.

Diggs from All Things That Fly recommended this site quite awhile ago.

    http://www.zennioptical.com

I tried it out since my daughter's prescription changes every 6 months. I got my daughter 2 pairs of glasses (one regular and one sunglasses). It was ~$40 shipped total. Not the highest quality frames, but they are ok. We also got my wife a set. They were $25 shipped. They have several hundred frames to choose from.

PS I met Dennis at the Toledo show. I'll vouch for him being over 40. ;)
