I think that's an awesome idea John! I really think it will sell great that way. Now all you have to do is hook an ink jet print-head to the MK3 and let it print out the whole sheet for you :D

I tried the screenprinting way and either I do not know what I am doing wrong, but I never could get anything worth a darn out of it.
I used the Speedball kit that Hobby Lobby sells and tried using the fabric ink.

Burning the screen is a pain without a good lightbox and getting the screen the proper distance off of the work was an even bigger pain. The screen cannot lay directly on the part you are silkscreening or it pulls the ink right back off.

I just gave up on the whole idea, not having a few hundred bucks to lay out for the proper stuff was the end of that endeavor.

Just to chime in with my 2 cents... I have used 1mm foam to make paint templates and found it works very well. More info for those of you wanting to try your hand at air brushing.

I take wax paper and layer the colored tape on it. Then cut out the pattern I want and peel it off the waxed paper and apply it onto the plane. Bit of a process but it works for certain things.

I did alot of reading about the Yudu and found out that the materials required for it to work are very expensive. I am not sure you can use standard emulsion liquids with it or not, the ones that Yudu sells are emulsion sheets that may require much less light to process.
There are presses on the ebay that are a decent price and anyone with some decent brains can build a light box with photo bulbs very cheap.
Of course I used the power of the sun to to process mine after the 300W photo bulb just burned my screens to the point they had to have the silk replaced.
It takes alot of trial and error until you can get it down.
I have not abandoned the idea yet but it is on hold until I can find a dang job

Jeff I thought that may be what they were up to. Sell you the machine for an ok price and then get you on the inks! Lame
Jeff you may want to PM Randy, where he works may be looking to hire? Not sure but it can't hurt to try and he is in your area I think

Now if I can only get Dannielle to think this way, I could have my MKIII up and running much sooner LOL :D

As far as the Yudu, it is about $400 and for that price they should give you a life time supply of ink :p

Look on Ebay, Ive seen these much cheaper!!!

    Thanks

Glad I could help, I went to Hobby Lobby and seen the price for a little 8" X 10" template for $24 and said heck with that :D
You will have to change the Phlatcode for whatever bit and material you are going to use, I am going to use a .030 bit and stick some frisket material onto a piece of foam to make mine
