    Hi everyone,
As most of you know, I am starting up my business http://www.BadToTheFoam.com. I am half way through the process of designing the jet below, and it needs a name!

    A little about the "jet":
I designed it with the idea of having a wide speed range and extreme maneuverability. Well, after the test flight yesterday, I exceeded my goals. The "jet" can fly so slow- about 2-3 mph, not even in high alpha! It can also turn on a dime and flip like it has vectored thrust! I am so happy it can be flown mild or wild, and it's huge size gives it a presence at the local park!

    How to win:

    1. Think of a cool name for this jet
    2. Post your name idea to this thread

    Prize:

The prize will be one set of plans, winners choice (including the cnc files for that plane) from my website.

    Rules:

    1. The name must be family friendly
    2. The name must not be the same as another aircraft
    3. Only one entry per person
    4. The winner will be the person with the best name
    5. Jason Forsythe (me) of http://www.BadToTheFoam.com is the final judge of entries
    6. Void where prohibited.
    7. Deadline is August 31
    8. The jet( yet to be named) may not be ready for distribution at the time of contest end
    9. Winner may wait for the jet (yet to be named) or choose a different design from my website that is complete. Attached files [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Ok this is one really cool looking aircraft Jason! This contest should be a lot of fun :)
My name for this aircraft would be
    The S.T.O.R.M.! Its an acronym for Supersonic - Tactical - Operations - Regulatory - Maneuverability! That's a mouthful :D
    Good luck everyone
Thank you Jason for this great contest and good luck with your new business

Thanks everyone! All the names are great so far it will be hard to pick!

Mark, Trish: without you guys, the Phlatprinter, and all of the support from this great community I could have never done it! Could you imagine building the same plane three or four times to get it to fly just right, cutting it out by hand? That's how I did my first two designs but now I am so thankful for the Phlatprinter!

The 'Flow Jet' or as we all like to convert 'Phlow Jet'. For fast and slow in lines and airspeed.

I can tell by the little things its a well planned design, like the curve in the rear fuse and the area rule concept that's incorporated, I'm hoping the canards are functional. I'd just call it a winner.

    My wife says

    "Armageddon"

I guess that means she would win the plans. Maybe I won't tell her. ;)

Jason, thank you for the kind words and thoughts. This is a great community and of course, we love the Phlatprinter too. We couldn't imagine building the same plane three or four times cutting it out by hand  You did a great job on this one and we're looking forward to finding out the winning name!

    Thanks,

    Mark and Trish

Very, very nice design. A great job. In the photos, it looks like a intricate and precisely folded paper airplane. So, the name for this airplane HAS to be the "Origami"

    "Anubis"

Something about it reminds me of anubis's ears I guess.

    hi Jase,

Awesome design regarding the specs you describe!
Anyway, the canards on your jet have the exact same planform as the English Electric Lightning, so my "name the plane" entry is a direct referral to that. Not only was (and still is) it a spectacular plane to look at, the name sounds cool as well, and holds promise to its velocity envelope.

    LIGHTNING II.
