Plans I will post shortly. Just another foamy of a plane I've always thought was real nice to look at. I don't believe I ever saw an ugly cap.

This one is 30"WS and I'll be cutting it today and maybe do some glide test and make adjustments to the plans, if needed, and then I'll post them here along with the paint scheme files.

Hope you like the looks of it.

I'll also be doing a full fuse version later. Attached files [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Thank yall very much. I kinda got behind schedule on the build but I did get to cut it out today and assembled it, all except attaching the wing. It all cut and fit together perfectly.

Plans will be posted later tonight, or ummm, today. I forgot to add cutouts for the elevator and rudder servos. I'll fix that and then post it. Attached files [IMG] [IMG]

OK, got er' done. Very simple, straightforward tab-n-slot build. The hold build time spent was about 30 minutes, of course that is without installing any electronics. The landing gear took the most time, however I still only spent about 5 minutes or so on that.

Below in the picture descriptions, I try to explain what I'm doing. I'm not much on build logs but I will try.

The plans and cut files are setup for 1/4"-6mm foam and a 1/8" bit and an under-hanging(?) gantry.
I supply the graphic files in a full and tiled version sou you can print them out, cut them and glue them on. Also I am posting the SU graphic file to do with what you'd like.

I will be posting PDF files later for any non Phlatprinter owners.

I will be testing for proper CG position this week and I'll post the info here when I can. In the mean time, have fun with it.

P.S. Dry weight (no electronics) was 4.9 oz. assembled.

Enjoy! Attached files [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Nice job, Buk. I like the way that you made the landing gear. Will most definitely plagiarize it. :D

Thanks again. I appreciate the comments.

I posted the PDF files for non Phlatprinter owners a couple post back.

Good idea Mark with the Avery labels to print the graphics on. I had in mind to print them on regular paper then 3M 77 them onto the foam but the labels would be alot easir and less messy.

ATM I am out of printer ink so I may have a go at it with the airbrush.

If you guys build one leave the long tabs alone. When you build your fuse and insert the vert fuse into the horz. fuse you will notice that the vert fuse tabs stick out 1/4" past being flush with the horz. fuse (top and bottom fuse tabs do this) don't cut the excess off, I designed it that way, and still yet I was tempted to cut them off before I realized what they were there for. The top fuse half interlocks with the bottom half. Just a little different than usual. I find it easier this way than having a tab come up from the bottom and one coming down from the top being side-by-side when they meet and trying to get them both in the same slot on the horz. fuse.

Hope to get a maiden in this weekend.

What "brand" of foam are you using? I've never seen any with the blue crosses like you're using...

It says Green Guard brand on it, purchased at Lowes. The skin is on the unpainted side :x . It is not as good as the blur stuff, but in my case it is Green or Pink

Still no maiden. I think I'm gonna add a strip of something along the length of the underside to add wing support while inverted and also act as a tail skid, maybe just tape or I may add some bamboo wing struts. May get to fly today if weather permits and my son is willing.
