Hey guys I have been searching the site and really cant find what I am looking for. I was wondering if there is a tool for pocket milling thick foam to make it lighter.

    Thanks

    Tom,

There is a plugin for pockets. viewtopic.php?f=103&t=2064 The author saids, "Limitations: Simple convex face only". What I've found that to mean is, if you can't fill in the area with single continous horizontal zig zag lines; it will not come back to fill in the missed areas. So the shapes orientation, can effect the outcome. Works fine for any basic shape.

It generates the lines and you use the phlatscript centerline tool, to cut them out.

Kwok thank you very much. I down loaded your fixed one. Hopefully I will have a few planes ready to cut by the time I get the printer built. It just happens that I started working on milled 2 part fuse and airfoiled wing designs to start off. I think I may have wanted to play with flatties first. But hey I guess they will be easier when I make one of those know  .
