Evil-Tunes...dug up this moldie oldie and cut it out and put it together but I don't have a clue where the CG is. Can you help me with a ballpark spot to begin to balance so it will fly?
No real thread here, so I do not know how many have been built and flown. If I can get the CG right, it will fly!

    Thanks in advance, Chuck

If ET doesn't respond before you need this, just search PBF on RCG. I'm sure you'll find it there.
I can't see the wing profile in the screen shot, and I don't have SU here at work, but if the wing is a square/rectangle, or circle, then about 30% from the LE is a good start.

Thanks rcav8r. I looked on RCG, did not see a search spot so could not find it. Your advice sounds good to me and I will give it a try tomorrow evening.

    Chuck,

30% or 1/3 of the wing should be good starting point. I never flew this one I cut it for a friend. It is the same as the Pzza wing. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=321
I just throw batterys on it and trim in the Air as Needed.

    Cheers

Thanks a million buddy. I appreciate the help. I feel it will fly, got plenty of motor it seems although I don't know what it was designed for. I am running a 24g 1700 on it. If it crashes, for some reason (it won't be my fault:) it is no big deal as it is currently blue FFF and pretty wavy and unattractive. If it flies well, I will make a nicer one. Thanks again and Happy New Year.

Back in the mid 90s We used to fly these things called Floppy Disks. Kind of the predecessor to the PBFs They were basically a 2 foot circle with a motor and fin. They were made out of coraplast ( corrugated plastic). They were designed for 3 channel and a .09 glow engine. I put a working rudder, and a Fox .25 in mine. I was hovering with this thing before anyone knew about hovering. As they were made out of the coraplastic, they were virtually indestructible. My buddy and I ended up kitting our modified version. We took some video ( and a tube TV with VCR) of the thing flying and crashing, and flying again to swap meets, and sold out of every one we took.
I really need to make one of these out of FFF.
If the PBF flies anything close to the old FLoppy Disk, you LOVE It.
