We're a little stuck here - I have my parts for a bird house and I've gone through the steps of putting t-bones and outside cuts and tabs, but when I go to generate G-code only two parts and part of third generate - the rest is missing.

I've even gone back and re-drawn the whole thing (fortunately, it wasn't a particularly complex design) and I keep getting the same results. Any idea where this is going off the rails? I'm hoping it's something simple we're just forgetting to include.

Hello, are you using Mach3 and is it the Trial version, if so you can only generate 500 lines of code and then it shuts down so to speak!! Just hoping for a simple solution! :)

My first guess would be what John mentioned, but if that all checks out... make sure the parts in the safe area. This includes the Phlatlines that were added. Also when using the dog bone tool I had a very similar issue. I had to bump up the "size" of the bit in the dog bone tool. I believe it was +.01 Just search on my username and dog bone to see the thread.

    Hi Broomstick,

I would like to take a look at what's causing the error. Would you mind posting or pm-ing (if you want to keep the file private) the sketchup file to me?

Broomstick and I are using CNC software and USB controller from Planet-CNC.
All of the parts are In the safe area.
We both tried erasing all of the Phlatcode from the model and redo it again.
Some parts generate CNC code others no code. :twitch: :questions: :nervous:

I will try making the dog bones a little bigger and see what happens.

    Thanks everyone for your help.

Is G-code generated for all parts or are parts missing in G-code?
In other words - does Planet-CNC software show these parts but does not cut them?

Removed the Phlatcode from the model.
Removed all the dog bones from the model.
Made all corners where the dog bones were 90deg.
Changed the dog bone bit size to .156
    Redid all the dog bones.
added all the outside, inside, and tab cuts.
Regenerated the Phlat code CNC file.

Opened the CNC file in the Planet-CNC software.
I now have a flawless CNC file with all parts visible. :D

I was going to make two CNC files before I got the answer from rcav8r.
I thought if I did a CNC file with just plunge cuts in the corners where I needed the bones,
and then a CNC file to cut out the bird house I could do it that way.

I thought that if I edited (where needed) and combined cnc files (plunge cut + cut out)
that I could get the job done with one file, guaranteeing that the plunge cuts would be first.

Now that I know to make the dog bone bit size a little bigger hopefully I won't
have that problem again in the future.

rcav8r You had the right answer. !!!THANK YOU !!!
Thanks to everyone else who offered up help too.

George.   :D :D
