Ok, i redrew this in Sketchup but i have no idea how to break it all down to make it a cuttable file. Any help would be appreciated.

    Jnida63,

I would start by getting the plane Square with axis. Then you could take off the faces. You will need the unfold tool for the round bits. I think there is a tut for the unfold tool. There is many ways to do it. I like to copy the faces off so I can go back if I need to. With the plane square it is easy to get the face, Group, and rotate to flat. I also like to do noches and tabs While it's in the 3-d. Back up and save often.

I use the move tool all the time. When it is a group hit the Ctrl once and you will copy it. also you can rotate while it's a group.

    Cheers

Jnida63, just take your time as you get stuck post where you are having trouble
Its really best if you do/learn how to do this on your own and you will be happy that you did once you have it figured out. The hard part is done you made the plane. Laying out the parts on the zero plane and working up the parts with the PhlatscripT is really the easy part.

I wasn't asking anyone to do the work for me, I was asking for pointers on which way to go about it.
I think I have it figured out, test cut is going now. Attached files [IMG]

Is it going to be a glider or motorized? It looks like you're trying to use the Kline-Fogelman airfoil. If so, the step works best on the top and should be at 50%. Read this thread: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=633311

BTW, how did you get to make the wing-span 35 3/16? Just curious. I most likely will plagiarize your design but I'll make it 40" span. I hope you don't mind. :D

I have built and flown that one. Make sure you have plenty of elevator and aileron surface and throw

Nope. It was really kind of squirly. Didn't like the aileron elevator setup either. Just got pushed to the wayside.

I had one I hand cut and it flew nicely. I did mess up on the size of the K-F wing size, I will fix that. From everything i have seen on the K-F wing it doesn't matter if it is top or bottom.
Tiger, I got 35 3/16 because it was drawn to 35". Sketchup kept snapping to that size so I left it there.
It isn't my design and anything you do to change it is fine with me. I did design the full fuse part though (I hate electronics hanging out).
I will post the plans once i finish tweaking it.
Been thinking about starting to learn how to tab with SU, this may be a good one to start with.
Oh yeah, about no provisions for the motor, there are in my plans that I will post once it is all tweaked out.
