INSTALLATION

To Install:
Unzip contents into your Crogram FilesGoogleGoogle SketchUp 7

Note: If this is the first time you are using the PhlatscripT with SketchUp You will need to activate the PhlatScripT under window/preferences/Extensions. Just put a check mark there next to the Phlatboyz and exit out of Sketchup then restart it.
*You will also need to activate the Phlatboyz toolbar View/Toolbars/Phlatboyz

HISTORY

What is the PhlatScripT/SketchUcam?

Introduction
The PhlatScripT is a set of SketchUp tools that will allow for fold cuts and stepped angles for airplane control surfaces not to mention a host of other cuts. Check out the Phlatprinter picture gallery to see everything we would like it to do in the future.
Since the PhlatScripT is released as open source, anyone and everyone is welcome to download it and change it and experiment with it. All we ask in return is that you keep us updated with your progress and share your add on’s with the rest of the world as open source.

In order to assure the quality of the PhlatscripT releases we like to screen/test any changes that you may have added to the PhlatscripT. In that way we can make a decision if it will be added to the latest release. If you feel you would like to further this project by helping in any way please contact us at phlatboyz@phlatboyz.com

NOTE: The PhlatScript is incorporating 3D capability's so the name will be changing to SketchUcam over time

The ultimate goal is to create a complete CAM/Controller solution directly within SketchUp as the CAD capable of outputting 3D tool paths and possibly in the future will be the ability to not only output the g-code but control the Phlatprinter as well I’m sure the PhlatScripT will be adapted for many different types of machines. This will be great. Please share.
The PhlatScripT can not be used for commercial gain or sold in any form. We are keeping this truly open source

Hello,
Check this 'step x step' if you seem to be having trouble installing SketchUcam plugin for SketchUp

* First I would Install SU 7.1 from here:

and run 7 instead of 8 as they have taken away the DXF import export feature of 7 in version 8. SU 7 runs stable and is working good with SketchUcam.

* Second Download SketchUcam(ZIP) hereIn the link above)

* Unzip the contents of the ZIP (3 folders and a PDF) directly into your Google Sketchup 7 folder.
use this path to put folders(and the PDF) in:(see attached image)
Crogram Files (x86)GoogleGoogle SketchUp 7
If it ask you to overwrite the existing files, say yes to all merge/overwrite



* Once you do this, open SU 7 and go to Window >Preferences>Extensions and be sure Phlatboyz Tools is checked.(see attached image)
If this was not checked you will need to check it and then close SU and re-open it to initiate the Phlatboyz Tools Extension


* At this point SketchUcam is installed and all you need to do is turn on the tool bar in SU
You do this by going to: View>Toolbars and checking Phlatboyz (see attached image)
