    Guys,
So I want in on the 3D printing fun and did not get in on the first round of PhlatBot kits. Is there any plan to offer some form of basic hardware kits or gantry plates & brackets thru the openBuilds.com?

I can go shopping for bit and pieces else where but would like to support you guys if that is in the works?

    Matt

    Guys
I have spent some time reading up on reprap's and am attracted to the Rostock /Kossel /MAX / Prisma variants. Seeing as I have some Open rail on order... I am thinking it would be fun and a worthwhile exercise for myself to model an open rail variant for this in sketchUp.

I am looking at the Azteeg x3 controller or Rambo - any of you guys who have assembled the parts already have comments on either.

Mark - your concept for the openbuilds store front seems very relevant - lots of guys looking for the parts or kits to build the various 3D printer kits. I'd sure like to find everything in a few places as possible.

    Matt

A delta bot would be awesome Matt! :good:
Matt this would be great and we are working to set up people who are willing to share their designs on the OpenBuilds website as open source with many of the parts they may need (and that we have) to be able to help make the build happen. The idea is to use Sketchup (so everyone can have a crack at modifying and possibly improving on designs) The Openbuilds part store will help us move forward as a business and Openbuilds itself will help the community move a head as well.
We are working on the Openbuilds as much as we can, but some of the programming on the page is tough (slow but sure) :)
Azteeg x3 controller or RAMBo we have had our eye on these as well. I have not used either at this point but my opinion would be the Azteeg. Its over all a better board, as for the RAMBo the main negatives for me, were that it has inboard divers so if one goes you are out of luck unless your soldering skills are awesome :) Azteeg also allows you to choose the connections you would like to use. The specs of the Azteeg seems to be capable of higher speeds as well. I am not a hardware guru just my :02cents:
Matt we have added your name to the list of machine builders that we will be contacting as soon as we have the air cleared and can move forward with OpenBuilds with more attention.
Thank you for the kind words and reassurance that we are pointed in the right direction.

    www.openbuilds.com
Lots of work! The coming soon page is here with a progress bar to give an idea of where its at. Its a sloooow moving bar at times :D and at this point there is no ETA just working on it when we can. On things for sure though it will be a lot of fun once we are all in and sharing cool projects.
    Thanks
