I was having trouble securing the all-thread to the flexible coupling. I was going to use heat shrink tubing, but I didn't have 5/8" handy... just 3/4" which I thought would be too bulky when shrunk down. Also, I wanted something that I could be sure that the all-thread rod would be seated all the way down to the stepper motor. My brother-in-law came up with the pop can solution:

    1. Get an empty pop can
    2. Cut a strip with your exacto knife
    3. Curl it like you would a length of ribbon (make sure you don't cut or poke yourself with a ragged edge)
    4. Cut to desired length
    5. Drop into place in the flexible coupling
    6. Push the all-thread down into place and tighten Attached files [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Thank you :D

I'll be hooking up the power supply shortly...
I'm trying to get a PC to watch the tutorials - my macbook pro is not liking the DVD's...
Is anyone running the PhlatBOT from a mac?

Hotbed is wired and taped! :D

The mirror that came with this broke in shipment, so I need to find a 200mm x 200mm piece of glass.... Attached files [IMG]
