Hey guys I thought it may be helpful to post some of the main settings for Mach3 That I use for my MKII. These settings are always changing as I am always experimenting with it. But I they work fine and should help you get a start.
These settings can be accessed from the Config menu at the top of the Mach3 screen

I am no longer using Mach3 and the screen shots are on a computer that is not hooked up at the moment.
-So if some one using Mach 3 could upload these that would be very helpful.
    Thanks
    Mark and Trish

I have buy from Planet CNC the Mk2/4 driverboard. With the old Parallelboard i have massive problems. I hope the new USb CNC Driverboard will work better. Thanks

What are the problems? Be specific, some of us have built several CNCs and probably have had the same problems. Setting one of these things up is a step by step process. There are way too many variables for it to be plug and play. The planet-cnc board works very well, but both boards have to be set up right, to get started.

My problem is i have a sepperat Parallelport Card, and this Card doesnt work with my Phlatprinter. The settings from this side i have 100 checkt all right. The Printer becomes no signal from the card. In my old PC i have the Port Onboard and it works. My old pc is sold i dont have it more. Can i use the same Stepper settings from here for the MK2/4 Card from Planet CNC???

Do you have the MK2/4 card installed? Activate license with card plugged in. Do you have movement?

Did you get the adapter cable, that goes from the usb board to the driver board?

I switch the Board not combine all two. I built in the MK2/4 and the Easy CNC Driverboard flyes away.

The MK2/4 does not drive the stepper motors. It replaces the parallel port card in your computer, or gives you the option of using a computer that has no parallel port (like most laptops). You still have to use the driver board.

To learn more about your new MK2/4, go to http//forum.planet-cnc.com . The software is very different to Mach3.

I'm not familiar with the planet-cnc board but generally breakout boards have an outlet for each motor that connects to the motor drivers. Each outlet, or mount, connects to it's own driver.

Card are here and printer have movement. My problem is the Stepper Settings i dont understand the system.
My measure dont work at mm, and the measure from the DXF when i run the printer runs over the limits. What is wrong??? Sorry i dont good to articulate my problem. My Y Axes and Z Axes makes drollity sounds. My Vref is 2.4 Volts, Dipswitch is 1.8 Steps On/On. My Z Axes runs in overspeed and makes grrrrrrr sounds. My Y Axes loses moevement. I am to despair. I have put all Settings files from here to bring it work, doesent functional. Sorry my english is so bad.

HSV_Freak, try setting the velocity of your motors (mm/sec) to really slow and see if you still get the noise, which I suspect is missing steps. If the noise goes away try raising the speed little by little until you get the noise again.

you can try 1/4 step or 1/2 step on the X stepper. Make sure all power is off before connecting or disconnecting any wires to the driver board. Check for loose wires.
