I have read a lot of posts here about Phlatprinter kits... I see where people said they ordered their kits... I have seen posts with links for additional information but the links are invalid... I read a post of a guy attempting to get a price for the Phlatprinter and was told to go to the parts list and mark one of everything and that would give him a good idea of the price... So I am assuming that one can not click on an order form to buy a phlatprinter but rather the kit is a parts list... Am I correct on this? I have been to Open Builds and attempted to find this parts list but I can not find it.,.. I have sent an email on the contact us of this site but do not get a response.... Can someone please respond and let me know where and how to order a Phlatprinter.... I an not a puttz but getting to feel that way.... Thx for any assistance you may give....

The Phlatprinter is out of production.
The plans have been open sourced at openbuilds.com - this will be hard to do since it is just the plan and you will have to find all the hardware yourself.
But better is a Routy or OX kit, from openbuilds.com.

There seemed to be a lot of interest in the Phlatprinter so I am not sure why it died particularly after all the work they put into it... It seems it is a secret society... LOL Thx

good product but time to move on to new things. the openbuilds framework of open source materials and designs means you can build anything, not just a phlatprinter.

I understand the process of obsolescence as technology moves on... I designed cabinetry for a company that wrote software for long distance learning... By the time we got everything designed and build technology moved past their software offering... My son and I are home rc modelers and looking for a machine that can cut full size sheets of Depron and Model Plane Foam (which a bit narrower than Depron)... I posed a message on the Open Build site for Kram242 (which I assume is Mark) for a recommendation...

Thx for your replies... Dave Miller

What about the plans and a parts list for this printer? Something to allow us to have the wood parts printed out somewhere and a parts list with enough eyeballs looking around will not be too much trouble finding everything needed to complete the kit by those of us that want to do so right? Coming from a Linux computer background I love making older tech do much more than others think it could do. Do those documents still exist for download? If so where?

http://www.openbuilds.com si where you will find the parts drawings for PP1 and PP2. Don't know about parts lists, you will have to ask Mark (kram242). Full build video for PP1 is already available on Openbuilds.
