Here's how you can block thos annoying usteam ads. I initially figured it out using Firefox. You just need to install the "adblock plus" plug in. I don't remember if it automatically blocks it or if you have to set it manually. This is it here: http://adblockplus.org/en/
If you click on the adblock idon, it will show you everything the webpage is loading. See pic:

But for some reason the ustream window is bigger in IE, so I wanted to block it there also. So I tracked it down to two possible address, which you need to block in your firewall. I use zone alarm for my firewall and right now I have "media.scanscout.com" blocked. And that is working for me when I use IE.

    Please share your results here.

Thanks kwok, good idea. Another option if you don't have a firewall running on a windows system is to add the lookup in your hosts file.

Open C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetchosts in notepad and add the following

    127.0.0.1 media.scanscout.com

You can also get a hosts file which will block a huge number of ad servers including scanscout here:

Late thank you gasmasher! Everyone, I would highly suggest gasmasher's hosts file method, as it blocks for you whole computer. For example when I use IE. And it blocks a whole bunch of other annoying stuff too.
