Hey everyone Mark wanted a sneak peek at what I have been working on for RcPowers.com and I am getting close to the end of testing so I figured why not. Dave at RcPowers has taught me a few things about building planes. First the plane must be easy to build, second it must fly awesome, and finally it must look cool. Well I think I hit the nail on the head with this one! Let me know what you all think, the plans will hopefully be up for sale around January. The plans.zip file will have the G-code also for us Phlaty guys!

Mark: The two pieces of foam (when the edges are sanded round) help create the “engine humps”. When I finish version V2.5 I’ll take some pics of the depron model. Up until now I have been testing with the cheap ReadyiBoard stuff and it doesn’t sand very well.

rayclark: Thanks for the kind words, The next part of my testing is to dump crazy power into it and see if it will hold up (the fun part of testing) .

This looks like another "AARC" winner! Will this be a candidate for the 2212-06 v2 Grayson Combo?

Very nice Jason! I don't know where you find the time to design all these cool models. I've got a Grayson combo without a home at the moment.... You can never have TOO much power in a jet can you? :D

Crash: It has been awhile in the making huh? Yea the parkjet 2206-06 V2 combo will jam this baby around. I am going to push it and put the MegaJet combo in it and see what happens lol.

Firetrappe: Thanks for the kind words. I have insomnia so I design them at night. The hard part is finding time to test fly them during the day.

Thanks guys! I am getting close to the finished product. I started off with the two pilot version and only taileron control, now it is the Super Hornet version with ailerons and elevator control. Once the model is done the hard part begins writing out the instructions and getting it on the web. I bet it will be early 2009 when this baby is up.

7up: something about it is sexy  it must be the canopy hump

    Just a quick update:

The production version airframe was built today. It went together perfectly and it looks wicked! Now on to the fun part, flight testing!!! I was going to put the super park jet motor on it but since most people have the original I am going to test with that.

Let me know what you think! Attached files [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

See now, all I need is one other person who lives close enough to have a combat this bad boy with. I would love to see two of these fighting it out!
SOOOOO NICE... Too nice to nice to combat really  Do you have a paint scheme lined up?

Hey thanks Mark! I am going to scale them in SU and output a PDF, That way they will print out the correct size. I was going to paint all that on there but this way is too easy!

Well I laid down the paint. My airbrush was giving me heck! Test flight was this am and it went great until my motor fell off in flight and wedged my elevator and she stuck in the wet ground a good 4-5" No damage other that the motor mount lol  got it on video will post Sunday or Monday
