This is a great lazy day RET flier from a few years back designed by Dan ??? aka Hippo on RCG and owner of FoamFly.com. I've built a couple of these in the past (before brushless and lipos) and they are simply to build and relaxing to fly and they make great trainers. I thought about this plane the other day and thought I'd work one up for the Phlatprinter just to have. One of these days I may want to build another one... :D

The only mods I made was adding a couple formers and I hollowed out the wing pylon to put all your gear in and added a few wing ribs. To form the polyhedral wing each wing tip is at 12.5 degrees. If you lay the wing on a table it should measure 4" from the table to the bottom of each wing tip. Yes I modified the wing too.

The two side hatches have bent paper clips glued inside them to use a rubber band from one side to the other. Just pull one side out and twist it around until the rubber band is tight enough to hold the hatches in place.

I flew mine on an old GWS IPS motor and gearbox with a 10x4.7 SF prop and a 600mah nicad pack so this should be a good candidate for a 1300kv BW. Anyway enjoy and have fun. Attached files [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Fold Timer.pht.cnc (36.5 KB)Â Fold Timer.pht.skp (1.1 MB)Â

Ummm! This looks like fun! Maybe the plane of the week to add to my collection.

I gotta stop this nonsense! I can't fit all my planes in the car as it is now!

    Nice work 7UP!

Cute Vintage looking plane..... Very nice... It's on my build list now. Although I might do an up-scale on it. I like my planes big.

    Thanks for sharing it.

    Best Regards,
    Julian (Fozzy The Bear)

Flash, if they were all assembled with the wings on, I could barely fit all of mine in a Greyhound bus!
You'll get used to it. ;)

Just build them man, build them!

I know, I know.... And yes, I did cut this one out and fly it too.

    It's an addiction.

To conserve my limited space, I build em, fly em a couple times and then give em away or trash em.

I only have a few special planes that I keep, but that list is growing too.

My wife is complaining about all the planes in the garage and there is no more room for them in the workshop and I don't dare bring any in the house unless it only for a few hours!

I just watched 3DMON's video.... I'm getting the urge to go cut out an F22 now...
