3DMON, is the motor hot-glued or does it only look like it in the picture?

Originally I epoxied it on. In the 4s vid when the motor flew off, the epoxy held but the foam torqued off right behind the glue joint.
I found the best way to keep it on is to use hot glue. I hot glued the firewall to the foam and around the outside letting it overlap the front of the firewall. When I did this it was very secure.

My 4s Speedy flew yesteryday with awesome results.
I dopplered it and got some impressive results (around 120mph on my 2nd to the last pass  ) but I want to see if the guys on Rcgroups get something similiar to what I got.
**edited** The Don over at Rcgroups dopplered it and got 119.4 mph.
This one flew like it was on rails. I think that bent nose on the first one is what was causing the majority of my left turning tendancies :) .
    Here is the video.

    4s Speedy got 119.4 mph.

Not bad for a $36 setup huh? :D

I got some paint on my 4s Speedy. Here's how it came out.

The person who started the "Fastest foamy thread" on Rcgroups has yet to log on to be able to update the board to show I'm in 2nd place, but according to all the guys who are competeing in the thread I am in 2nd place! Whew!
I plan to do a couple more things to try and go faster to see if I can take first now :D .

Here is the link for the fastest foamy thread.

I put a different motor on the Speedy today. Had some amazing results too. 132 mph on my last pass  . Only downfall is I need a different speed control in there to handle the extra power...You'll see from the vid  .

    I know right!
1st place is at 139.6 mph...I'm not too far now.
I find it amazing this little piece of foam is handling all of this.

Just updated the first post with my V2 files. They have the added tab and slot on the top and bottom parts for easier assembly and optional aileron servo riser blocks.

Shaun I would build this one right now, but I don't trust myself with all that speed! If I ever do, this will be my first stop.

Once you start to fly thing's that go really fast, everything else just seems really slow  .

I haven't been able to beat the 139.6mph mark to get me to first place yet. The best I was able to get out of the different setups I tried on the Speedy was around 130mph. I am now taking Randy's advice putting a spinner on it and sleeking it up a bit.

Here is the new design I am building to try and beat the record.

looks great Shaun...keep that spinner gap minimal. i used to use a old credit card to help set the gap. this will keep dirty air to the minimum...also male sure the trailing edges on the wing and all control surfaces are very thin, almost sharp. be sure to maintain a smooth radius on the leading edges...man, you look on your way to the front of the pack....and doing it with a phlatprinter special !! lookin sweet, good job bud....randy.
