    Hi Guys,
I am having to much fun with my phlatprinter, As you all know by now I am a huge Star Wars Fan and have always wanted to see some of the cool aircraft from the movies come to life!! So, I have decided to try and get the Speeder Bike a whirl and see if this is a flyable plane LOL!! So here is my concept profile parts and I need to fine tune and figure out a good placement for the motor, battery bla bla bla!! Please feel free to give me some input and lets get it fly'n. Maybe George Lucas could use me at ILM!!!

    Thanks

Hi Randy, thank you my Friend. I am feeling pretty good about this as i just built up the fuse and did some glide tests and it was dead level flight so I found the CG right away. Now we have to see what the electronics placement does for us. I want to mount the motor up front and all the other gear near the tail of this bird. I will keep you updated.

here is some pics..... Attached files [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Randy, Randy, Randy, Im probably older than you LOL, Born in good ol 1971 :D I use to love the Old Star Trek Series, the one with Captain Kirk and Spock. I never followed much after that but became enthralled with Star Wars ,so I guess you can say i joined the dark side LOL!!

I have the BAF Yak and love this plane. I havent flown the Juka but I heard it was da bomb!!
If I ever get around to doing a cut file for mine Ill send it your way, Its not on the top of the list but in Cleveland it gets pretty boring in Winter !!

    take it easy
    John

Oh Yea, just mounted the motor and am looking for three good servos  I may have to dissect another plane for the sake of getting this one fly'n!!

Thanks Randy, I have been using those for a while and your right, they work great!! I need to place an order fro them for some other stuff, you should try the Rhino Lipos if you havent already. They are better than most brand names!! Looking forward to your Enterprise, that is one sweet ship!! :)

John I just had a thought, I just had to share! If you get a lot of torque you could always add the guy riding as the vertical stab!! You may have to redesign him so that he is sitting back a little more but I think it would work :)

Awesome Mark!! I so wanted to incorporate the Biker Scout in the design, but was more concerned for weight. I Am pushing the motor to its limit to keep this just under 10 oz RTF :)
I will try and do some sort of Biker Pilot if it flys well!!I hope to have enough side lift during rolls to at least end up horizontal again LOL!! Good Idear !!!

    Thanks
    John

That is to cool!I Iove R2 ,He has the best personality :) That would be sweet to have a full sized fully functional R2 unit in the house. I good friend of mine is buddies with someone I believe in Cincinnati Ohio who makes replica full size R2 heads. There part of some kind of scale builders club. I have seen a few fully built with sounds and they are amazing!! The only thing missing is Kenny Baker!!You have to post pics !!
Oh and yes that was super funny!! I think there doing the next SW episode on Family Guy!! We shall see!!

    Take it easy

Thanks Shaun, the funny thing is that I have used it before and it was removed by YouTube under some sort of license infringement :) So I used another feel good theme LOL
I should of used the sound waves from the speeder bikes in ROTJ !!! Maybe on the next clip!!
