Howdy I was messing around today aftr work and I came up with this. Do you think that the proportion looks rite?

The wings look a bit short to me, proportion wise. They should be longer than the fuse, but it could be that the perspective in the picture is making it look wrong.

I think the proportions will work, but I do agree with Tigerpilot about the wings looking a little short.
Maybe just shorten the tail a bit. But the longer the tail the more stable it will be for pitch sensitivity. So I guess it depends on what your wanting out of the plane.

Hey! I like it ET. With that much chord I'd say you've got plenty of wing area.

Starting to like that full fuse stuff.

    Thanks

I think the elavator is on the big side and I'm thinking on making the controll surface smaller.

Here is a better picture with dimensions

EDIT: smaller Surface and you would be able to make both planes from 3 sheets.now onto testing Attached files [IMG] [IMG]

Pretty neat ET, you know, if you build it, and find too much control via the tail, it would be really easy to cut a new one... :) Same deal with the wings, make it changable, long wing, short wing, delta wing? Play with the design and come up with something you really like.

Sounds like a pretty cool project.

Yea that was kinda the plan. :D

I was talking to Kram242 and he was saying that for a high wing the wing itself should be"forward" and A low wing "back a little "?? I'm not sure but the testing should be fun. I like the idea of a delta. now I'm thinking that I could rubber band the tail and rudder on and you could have it dissamble and rearange . :ugeek: Now thats a
The testing will have to be in a few weeks as I have a video to shoot for a contest this weekend. Here is a prevew shot

    Cheers

You see,Evil-Tunes, once the wings are longer than the fuse, it just looks right, and the saying goes that if it looks right it is right. :D

Did you make the step on the wing for the top and the bottom? Also, the step should be at least 40% of the wing. I saw a plan where the guy made the step on top 50% (the recommended proportion by the designer of the airfoil) and 40% on the bottom and he said the plane flies great.
