I came across this interesting article about cell-phone spyware, and figured some of you might like to see it also, especially if someone seems to know your every move.
Make sure you watch the video, it was a news cast done by WTHR News, Channel 13 in Indianapolis.

Wow, that is insane! I had a friend that would take his battery and sim chip out of his phone when he was not using it, and I always thought he was a little crazy for doing this, but its pretty obvious hes not!
I bet they can even access the camera on the phones as well
    This is just creepy
Thanks for the heads up Dorsal

I worked for Siemens for 19 years. I know what telephone companies can and do develop. We had contracts with the FBI to write wire tapping capabilities into the switch software years ago. And this was way before cell phones. I worked on those too, but during the early years of its development so no telling what it is capable of today.

The point is, this technology has been around for years. It is probably partially the reason why terrorist attacks in the US have been avoided. The fact that ordinary citizens are now tapping into it is no real surprise.

Just this week, two separate attempts to blow up buildings was thwarted by the FBI. Do you really think that could have happened without this capability.

Anyone listening in on my cellphone would probably be disappointed. Aside from hearing the buzz of a phlatprinter and the sounds of me crashing planes from time to time, it would probably be pretty boring entertainment.

Privacy is really a thing of the past. Everytime you connect a computer to the Internet, you are exposing yourself to potential privacy issues, credit card fraud and the like. You can run, but you can't hide.

But as you say, it is disturbing to think that someone can actually tap into your cellphone and use it to listen in, track your movements. Scary stuff.

You really don't want to go there... You are bound to p*** off 50 percent of us no matter which party you support. Its best to leave politics and religion out of conversations unless you are prepared to hear the opposing views.

The political party doesn't really matter anyway - the overall agenda just stays the same. :(
I think we should elect a good young vocal impressionist, and then every four years they could just change their voice. ;)

They all have at least two things in common, finding a new way to get in your knickers and lining their own pockets.

Not sure which is worse, politicians or lawyers.

    I vote for that!

As a minimum, the bums should have to live by the same rules they impose on us!

But back to the spyware, did you guys see the flycamOne2 specs? I had a flycamOne video capture camera for my planes and purchased the next generation unit a few months ago.

In addition to having better picture quality, the flycamOne2 contains an infrared sensor to detect motion. It can be installed anywhere and set to a mode in which it is only activated when motion is present.

Its small size and lightweight make it easy setup most anywhere.

So when you are not taking video from your plane, you can use it for a security camera!

Oh by the way Dorsal, please ease up on the rice crispies, the snap crackle and pop sounds are breakin my eardrums man!

    Oh... nearly forgot... SPEW ALERT
