Gutted to hear the big bird didn't work out Randy :( . Like others though I have really enjoyed following your build. I hope you give it another shot once you've had chance to take a break and assess things. Bigger IS better (and more impressive) once the bugs are ironed out.

Sorry to hear about the initial problems on the big eagle. I have found that mine was one of the most difficult to get trimmed and flying right and it is the EPP Eagle that is a pre cut and preformed kit. The short coupled fuselage makes it a flying wing and the CG is very critical. I had a devil of a time getting the CG right. I suspect that a Clark Y airfoil might be even more critical than those used in flying wings. I think you could get it to fly well if you really tinkered with the CG location. I have never had a plane that took so much tweaking as my EPP Eagle. It flies really well now but that is after a lot of testing and crashing. The major factor was the center of gravity location. It seems to be correct in a very narrow range. I hope you or your friend can keep working and get it flying because it is a beautiful plane. Good luck.
