I want to build a big flying wing based off the SwiftII from MSComposit. I bought 6 sheets of 2' wide 4' long and 1" thick insulation foam. It was cheap enough that if it doesn't work at least it will be a good laugh. I have a power system that will push 6 pounds of thrust and weighs 2 pounds with servos, ESC, BEC, 4s 3850 mAh lipo, and rx. All 6 sheets of foam weigh 3.4 pounds so I am guessing a flying weight of 6.25 - 6.5 flying weight. I am not looking for crazy speeds or unlimited vert just want a very big park flyer and slope powered glider.

Let me know what you think Attached files [IMG]

I know a 115" Zagnut has been done. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=567281&page=2&pp=50 [IMG]

Unfortunely the Zagnutz's caculator is gone or not working. It was a cool one.

It was great when I built my 4 foot flat FFF, It flew great till I kept putting bigger motors for speed and started getting to much wing flutter.

I say go for it :D

Thanks guys I have always wanted to build a huge foamy. I built a 200% RcPowers F-117 and when I painted it (before the maiden flight) it warped the airframe beyond repair I was devastated. Now I have the PP and cutting parts will be way easier than before. I bought 2' x 4' sheets of foam so I could cut it on the PP. I want to have the biggest plane cut on a PP. Has any one made anything bigger with a PP yet? If it flies maybe I'll have to call Guinness and we can start a PP record!
