too bad the phlatboyz couldn't attend with a booth. I only noticed one other CNC machine there - a very large multi-axis hot wirefor cutter. But I think their booth girls were drawing more attention than the machine. They really needed to have them running, not idle, to see what they could cut. Not that I'm in the market for a CNC hot wire machine.

I did but a couple of Stevens and Mountain Models micro too old timers for parkzone P-51 gear, and a Diels free flight balsa scale kit. And finally I bought a box of white model airplace foam from SGTalon - very nice guy and had a good conversation with him. Now I'll be set to cut a nice Geobat.

The one item that really struck me was a large scale foam B-17 (about 8' ws) from Rabid Models, I think. However, at just under $1000, I'll have to engineer my own. He was not offering it as a kit or plans, not sure why. Looked very nice, with a full 3-D fuselage and an undercambered wing. The video of it flying looked incredible. I suppose the Fiddlers Green paper models would be a good start for eventually building one like this.
