Hey guys I have been working on this today and thought I would show pics of the 3D model and see what every one thought about it.

Hey Jason. It looks really cool. As I was looking at it, I came up with some ideas that might help. Please don't take offense. I saw the design and I can't help myself, I like to design :D I took your picture and brought it into Sketchup and drew on top of it to show you some thoughts I had. I hope you don't mind.

First, thing I think would be cool is a battery tray added to the front above the drawers so you can just lay your battery in there and charge it. Another idea I have that might help you is to put winglets on the front and back to give the whole stand a wider stance to keep it from moving around. When you are charging the batteries, you will be plugging and unplugging them and pushing the buttons on the charger to get to the menus which I think could make it top heavy and make it wobble.

The last thing is some type of a way to open the drawers easier. Maybe finger tabs or holes or U shapes like I show here.

These are just ideas. I hope you can utilize them and maybe expand on them. It's coming along really nice. Can't wait to download it for my own triton charger.

    Great job man!
I agree w/ Mark if you add those additions on, it would be better. I like the design though.

Very cool mark. That is why I posted. When you work on something for a long time you get kinda numb and can't think anymore. It took me a good 4 hours just to make the true to scale 1010C charger (I used calipers on everything lol). I am going to add the changes you suggested!

I don't think a foam handle could stand up to the weight.

Here it is with all the mods so far Attached files [IMG]

Looks pretty nice to me - maybe I'll steal your design and modify it to fit my two Triton chargers.

Now were talking! That looks sharp and I love the extra pocket in the back now smart.
and the pull handles are a great idea now that the top shelf overhangs, nice.
    Great job!
Looking forward to the the finished design.
    Thanks
    Mark

I have the two bottom drawers open so you can see my goodies <--- opps did I just type that lol. Well in the morn I'll upload the SU file and the .cncs , got to sleep my son will wake up in 6 hours and he just turned two so he is a handful!

Evil-Tunes: I left a an opening in the back and it is very easy to carry like the photo below. The size of the charger area is 50mm h x 168.1mm w x 130mm d it fits the 1010C charger perfectly! There is plenty of room for the Triton charger or almost any other similar charger. The .cncs are set up for 6mm foam and the stock bit. I use full depth taps now that I had a few sheets of Depron scrap at $4 a sheet! The SU ver 7 is in the warehouse for those who mod at http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=c1dd6e319abb46d2221b53ac0f95149c!

It is setup to fit two sheets of Depron just barely so make sure your bit doesn't run off the foam before cutting!

Hope you enjoy! Attached files [IMG] chargestation.zip (7.5 KB)Â
