Offhand, I would say thechannelmast doesn't have a pp, so he's looking for printable, tape-the-panels-together-and-get-a-sharp-Xacto-blade-kind-of-plans.

, those of us with pp s don't have to bother with pdf files, we just cut the material directly from the PhlatCode (.cnc) files, or generate our own from the Sketchup files. Ask 7up nicely, he might make some for you - or not. ;)

I don't know about you, 3D, but I'm after getting it from PDF to DXF. I don't worry about making it into PDF. What can I do with it once it is a PDF file?

I just import the pdf into autocad and trace it, bout the only way i found out how to do anything with a pdf.
Or i open the pdf in paintshop pro and save it as an image file and then import into sketchup.

Aide PDF to DXF works great for that, but your limited to how many times you can use it.

I've been using this program. http://www.bluelabelsoft.de It has a nag screen in the beginning and the end to remind you that it is a shareware and you have to pay but I don't know for how long it will work and if it will become non-functional. That's why I'm in the lookout for a permanent solution, just in case. :D

Inkscape will convert pdf's to dxf's too, but I found the quality isn't as good. That said, I also haven't played with it enough to see if there is a way to tweak the output either.
Nice thing about Inkscape is it's free.

I tried Inkscape and I have not much success with it. It makes the dfx file alright and I can see the results fine in 'Edrawings', albeit in revers (and I have no idea why it does it) but when I try to import it to SU, SU crashes and sends a report to wherever. So now I'm without a dfx converter since the program that I used was time limited.
