I found this great way to download videos from youtube. There are many ways, but this is the easiest so far. What you do is go to the youtube page and then paste a java script into the address bar. Hit enter or whatever; and then the standard download box comes up and you just download it like a normal file. There are 3 possible quality of movie. The orginal .flv flash movie, the high quality move HQ(.mp4), and the high def (HD, .mp4 also). You need a different script for each one. There is a HQ and HD button, if those versions are available.

The scripts, I've included, are in the form of 3 links on a html file. I use firefox and you can easily just import the html file directly into your bookmarks. The result is a bookmark for each of the 3 links. This makes it real simple to use, as you can just hit correct bookmark to download the movie. To test it out without bookmarking; just right click the proper html link, copy the link location into the clipboard and paste into the browser address bar.
