Ok guys with Christmas 7 weeks away I thought I would start the giving a little early. For the next seven weeks I am going to release one free flight plane a week. I know my boy wants to play with a plane every time I am flying one or working on one, so why not make some cool free flight planes for the kids. Some will be fancy Full fuse jobs (like this week’s plane) and a few will be simple profile planes. They all will fly at least across my front yard and all .cnc files will be coded for Dollar Tree ReadiBoard with the paper removed. Feel free to use the G-codes for your own use and nonprofit.
I am going to start this off this week with a cool little oldie pylon racer.

There are two rings up front for clay to help get the right CG. I filled the whole thing with clay and it flies great at any speed range. I can throw it really hard in a strait line and it stays level until it slows down then the nose drops just slightly. Attached files [IMG] oldracercoded.zip (79.4 KB)Â [IMG]

Hey guys this weeks free flight plane is the X-31 with an 11” wing span. Next week’s plane is going to be a simple profile so when your kids (or you) crush it you will not feel to bad lol.

Enjoy, and post pics if you build one!

p.s. CG is about .25"-.5" in front of where my thumb is in the pic. Attached files [IMG] [IMG] x-31freeflight2.zip (4.3 KB)Â

Ok guys here is my week 4 free flight plane. This one has a twist, it has optional motor mount pieces. I plan on putting my 10g out runner on this one some time this month. I have finals this week and next but I’ll let you know how it works powered a.s.a.p. The free flight works good. I taped two quarters under the nose and it flies great. This one is an outside glider as it is fast and will fly far! Once I trimmed mine with the elevons I gave it a hard throw and it went half a block down the street!

Well week 6’s plane is late I had some obligations that keep me from finishing this plane. I have the 3d model built and ready for unfolding. Here is where I hope you forgive me, I am going to try real hard to get an “unfold how to” video done for this model. Well here is a pic of the plane, + 10 points to anyone that guesses the name of this plane.

No one even had a guess??

    It is a DelanneII

Enjoy the .cnc file as always this one is coded for 4mm foam if you cut one let me know how it does!

p.s. An unfold how to video is up in the SU tut area!
