We have some people doing modelling in sketchup, and they were interested when I told them about the phlatprinter. There's a chance we might get one.

What's a good intro video, 2-3 minutes, that might show the the various steps, taking a design in sketchup, showing the phlat cutting, and the final cut results?

1st step is to generate gcode. You can check out my quick intro to the Phlatscript plugin:

You can go to youtube and type in "phlatprinter" and browse some videos.

You can also browse the ustream live shows which shows cutting and building. These are long but, you can use the scroll bar to jump throught to find some cutting. They did more of this in the older videos:

They used to have a gallery of pictures of all the stuff they made. Very impressive, but I can't seem to find it, now.
