Anyone trying Google+?

Nope... I'm rather anti-facebook ( and the likes) but would be willing to give it a shot.

FWIW, my gmail account goes WAY back to when they were only issuing invites if you knew someone at Google and they were given out one at a time, and I still haven't received one.

Apparently not important enough

 

I am not a frequent Facebook user either but I have also had a gmail acct. since the days of an invite was required.

I really don't like the Facebook interface/environment and am curious to see if G+ is any better.

 

Yea, my wife and kids are (too)active in it (actually the wife more than the 16 year old daughter) and it is jumbled mess. And the security takes the Micro$oft approach. Make it all wide open, and lock down what you want so it works out of the gate.
Google+ appears, to coin a phrase from Honda advertisements, ... simplify, and their security is more Linux like.... have everything locked down except the bare essentials, and allow what you want through.

Not sure what to do with it really. I mean I get the concept and all, just not sure WHY.
