I got tired of the Y-Axis losing steps so I decided to install one of my new steppers (282in/OZ) unit. Here is the link:

I checked all the connections and powered her up. The led lit and all was good. I moved the Y-Axis and after a few steps it stopped. No power. I checked and didn't lose a fuse. So I reset the power. The lights come on for a second then go out. I removed the wires from teh Y-Axis (with the power off) and powered it back on. Same result.

    Frick....any ideas?

OK..I pulled the Y-Axis chip and the X and Z work again. Looks like I blew the chip. Now I have to order another one.

Can someone take a look at the specs on the motor? I have it wired "BiPolar Series" so I should only be seeing about 2.1 Amps max at 3.86 volts.

Maybe I should have adjusted teh VRefs first.....I figured I would adjust them after I powered it up using my volt meter....
