Has anyone generated a DXF or pc for the Infineon biplane?
A beginning flier at work really wants one and I figured to make 2 and train him / fly in tandem. If half of the work has already been done, that would be great. ;)

Yeah, if nobody has anything better than the pdf files in that post, I'll have to do it from there. :(

OOOOOOO!! Sometimes I'm really slow on the uptake Frank! (Then other times I'm kinda dumb.)
    Thanks!

Hey Frank, don't bother using those cnc files I sent of the Infineon. For some reason, when I shuffled the parts to re-nest them, Sketchup dropped the tabs on every part I moved. I don't know if that's a bug or just something I goofed up.
I was standing at the printer and couldn't grab the parts quickly enough to keep them from jamming up the roller. Also, the semi-circular cutout on the vertical stab needs to have a tab added - it jams up everything, too.
I'm trying to fix the skp, and regen the cnc files.

    Hi guys,
Downloaded the RCGroups files for the Infineon (and variants). Having trouble finding a nice program to convert from PDF vector to DXF or DWG vector, so that I can import into Sketchup.
I found a couple of proported solutions (inkscape, pstoedit, aide convert, etc) but each of them had issues that didn't scratch that Infineon itch. Maybe this is a question for a larger software tool forum, but what tools and/or processes do you use for PDF to SKP conversion?

    Ta,
    Scott

Mark's archived the cadkas program here: viewtopic.php?f=103&t=989
Sometimes it's hard getting on their website.

Eflybob, did you ever used GhostScript? I tried and found it to be to complicated since it has no window user interface and you have to type all the commands in it, including all the directories where the file you want is and if you make one mistake in the address you have to type it all over. I found it to be absolutely not user friendly. That's why I ask if you used it and what your experience with it is.

    Yoram,
Yes i use it, but i must admit i do it the easy way. If you follow the setup as mentioned, you get a windows interface (Gsview) that uses a plugin (pstoEdit) to do the conversion. Open a pdf, Convert to dxf.. Works like a champ.. With that said, The CadKas program PDF2DXF works well and is a simple install. Just ignore the one page limitation since a non-tiled plan is only one page. :)

    Thanks for the responses! :)

Hmmm. No luck with CadKas. Keeps experiencing an addressing exception error. Tried several compatibility modes. Might have to find a true XP workstation to try again.

Else, Smoke me a Kipper! I'll have to dive in with Ghostscript et al on a linux workstation.

    Tchuss!

I got an access violation with Cadkas, too. It's the "plans i3d.pdf", I just tested. So doesn't work on my winxp machine, either. :(
