I just ordered my Phlatprinter 3 last night and I've been spending some time going over this forum trying to learn everything I can. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has taken the time to post all this info. There is some incredibly helpful stuff here.

Hopefully I'll be able to contribute eventually as well.

Right now I'm just trying to get a handle on the whole process of getting my plans into the printer and looking forward to getting it up and running.

    Congrats! Welcome to forums.

You are right, there is a ton of information here. I'm still finding good stuff.

Take your time during the build. If you think you might want to paint your machine, do it before assembly. Tape off all of the tabs and paint all of the parts. Once you get your machine built an running, it's hard to stop using it long enough to take it apart for paint. I made that mistake.

I still need to finish painting mine. I kept finding new plans that I wanted to print, so I kept putting the painting off until later.

It's a lot of fun and there are some smart people around here that are always willing to help.
