    Hey guyz,
I was having trouble with the extruder(cu-bd) stopping a lot during a print. I found this doc on the replicator 2 machine (prints only PLA) and they are saying they found printing PLA at higher temps(220) then previously thought (180) temps works better as long as your pushing the PLA at a good clip.
I tired it out and it worked for me.
Try setting your temps to 220 in slicer slice the model and give it a go.
Make sure your feedrates are around 80 to 100 so the PLA does not degrade in the tip.
Here is the link to the doc: http://www.makerbot.com/support/guides/pla/

I've been printing PLA at 200 degs C with very good results but I wonder if I went a little higher it might be even better.
I also have hobbed the raptor gear using a 3mm tap and did the minimalistic add on and then the latest thing I did was polish the inside of the stainless tube.
Right now I am printing at 100 and have my retracts at 2mm.
Another thing I have set is my heatbed at 60 degs C and I cool the extruded PLA with a fan.

Good tips Shaun thank you. I still have a few things I want to try as its still not working as reliable as I would like, but its much better at the higher temps for sure.
