Randy's absence

    Hello everyone. We talked to Randy (rjarois, the ghetto foam cutting monkey) tonight. He was riding his bike a couple of weeks ago and hit a bump where the grass and the sidewalk meets and flipped off. He had a 1 1/2" gash in his head, broke a couple of ribs, damaged his collar bone pretty good and his arm is in a sling. He spent several days in the hospital but is home recovering now. He could sure use our prayers for a speedy recovery. At this point, he can't really sit and type and he has to sleep in a chair. Luckily, he has family in his area which are helping out.

    Remember: Gravity and vector forces always win! When I finally grasped that truth, I gave up my motorcycle and soon after that hung up my cane.

    Randy, I feel for ya dude! Not a pleasant experience! I hurt when you hurt and I feel your pain. Shoulda been cuttin foam instead of cuttin class :lol:

    You know, one of the great things about this forum is we all seem to get to know each other even though most of us have never met. I feel that so many of you are a part of my family. I read your posts daily, I build your inspirations, I learn from your experiences.

    It would be cool if one day we could all get together at something like a family reunion and get to meet each other face to face.

    Anyway, Randy, the gang here is thinking about you. We all wish you a speedy recovery.

    Trish and I have been talking about that. Maybe a Phlat Fun Fly :)
    We were thinking that we could do an estimate on where all the Phlatclub members are located in the U.S. and find a center point so that the trip would not be so hard on any particular person. What do you guys think? I think it would be a lot of fun!
    Would have to be down the road a while so we could plan for it. But we think it would be great.

    yea Erik, i think i got the monkey award for this one, lols. seriously thou, all your fellas replies to this post make me feel better, and is very heartfelt to me. the cut has healed good, and the ribs are coming along....but the collarbone is lagging, and very uncomfortable unless i sleep sitting, as mark said. its really hard to type with one hand for me. Mark, Trish and all of you fellas, thanks for the kind words, and the prayers...it sincerely makes me feel better. peace, randy,

    thanks for all the concern. finally after 3 weeks i slept in my bed, man did that feel way better than sleeping in the chair. i am happy to report i am feeling better and better each day that passes. randy.
