Router speed

    What is the down side to running a Dremel 200 at the mid point on the power switch which I am guessing is around 8000 rpm. The cut seems to be the same as the screaming high setting which I am unsure of the rpm's. At least this way I don't have to wear ear protection.

    I have a router speed controller and run my rotozip at the lowest rpm i can get. Sometimes a really fast bit will melt the foam if the foam doesn't move thru it fast enough
