    I had set up the short-keys, both the keyboard and the numeric USB pad yet the don't control the jogging. The number change, in the setup, and that means that the keys I press are recognized during setup but they don't function during normal operation. Did I miss something somewhere where I have to activate it?

    I think (but I've been wrong before ;-) )that you have to toggle it on/off with the tab key.

    The tab button turns on and off the jogging screen but does not activate the short keys. I'm still without functioning short keys.

    Yoram make sure that the number lock is off on your computer. The keypad will not work with them on.

    I had already found the problem. I didn't read anywhere that you have to have the jog button on. It's not in the Phlat screen. It was in the screen where you can input a one line command. When I pressed it, and the leds on the left and right of it lit up, it worked. I knew it was a button or a check-mark somewhere but I didn't know where.

    If I may ask, is there a thread on the topic of setting up the usb numeric pad? I have one, but like the relay board (which is working now) I have been too busy to get going.

    Ken, I never had to set the usb numeric pad up. I just plugged it in and it worked. I guess it's plug and play. At least on my windows xp it is. It works in parallel with the numeric pad on my keyboard. When the led lights they are both on and when it's of they are both of.

    Ken are you using Mach3? I suspect that you may be if so you can set up your keys for the keypad under Config>System Hotkeys
    My ScanCodes are as follows:
    X++ 40 X-- 38
    Y++ 37 Y-- 39
    Z++ 33 Z-- 34

    Remember you can reverse the motors under the homing limits if needed and you can reverse the jog by swapping the ScanCodes for each axis.
    Also be sure that num lock is off or it will not work
    Hope this helps
