    Hi guyz,

Since I decide to cover all my airplanes, I design all the camouflage, rivets and weathering in Photoshop and Illustrator. Now my problem is when I unfold the fuse and the panel lines follow from 3D in 2D, so what use to be a strait line become a multitude of lines siting at different angle on the plane, and when we talk about the camouflage itself, it become a real challenge...
so I'm looking for a way to paint the object or at least mark somehow the precise location so the actual skin unfolded will mach the fuse unfolded.
Right now I can do this, but the workflow is complicated since I have to use different programs and I'm wondering if I can use just Sketchup.
    Thank you for the help.

I'm not sure SU will do what U want it to do. When u unfold the parts I think the paint pattern will change? IF you assign a pattern for each part it might work.

I hope it works for you.

    Cheers

I think that Glen(ET) is right about this you will have to assign a texture to the face then when you unfold you should be OK
Here are a couple good tutorials
    http://courses.washington.edu/udpddp/ex ... tu52.shtml
This is a nice video that shows how you can project a texture to a curved surface before unfolding it.
