It has been a long time in the making ... the parts aging in the boxes like a fine wine. I think it about time I get this thing fired up. I have 12 grand kids going on 15 and I need to make and replace a lot of penny gliders and puzzles and models .... the possibilities are going to be endless.

Hay I remember when mine looked like that :)

So are you going to paint it? If you do be careful you don't go too heavy on the paint on the Moving parts (i.e where the pressure bar mechanism is)
Not only does the paint pretty it up ( I wouldn't do it for just this reason) but if you live in an area with a lot of moisture in the air, I think it is almost necessary for long term stability of the machine.

I am at the point that I need to put on some paint. Anyone have any thoughts about painting the inside of the machine. I can still get to it at this stage. I am concerned about swelling or warping on the inside if I only paint one side.

I hear ya on that one.... Took me longer than the average bear to do anything useful in SU; and as it is, I'm still a bit clumsy in it. Then if I'm in SU for a while, I get all messed up in ACAD. :? But it comes back rather quickly.

Congrats on getting the PP/// moving...
