    Hi there,

    hope someone can help me.

I am trying to make gcode on platskript from sketchup w/ centerline tool.
Strange is, that on spirals or polyline each section is plunged down to maxdepth instead of driving through the whole section, eg an archimedial spiral.

anyone w an idea, thanks in advance

    Hi Mike,
Are you using a plugin to make the spirals? if so try to explode the lined before applying the Phlatscript to them. You can also try and select the whole spiral and right click on it. Pick Phlatboyz and Phlatten and then assign the center line to it and see if that helps.
do you have any pics to show what is happening it may be a little easier to figure it out with one.
    Welcome to the Phlatforum :)

    Hi guys,

    thank you for caring.

Even when I draw in SKP 8 an arc, weld it, flat it and use the bezier polyline,
the result is multipassing throgh each segment instead of running through the entire curve and than next depth.

The form is a simple arc, Thats what it looks like in attached image. There you see each segment being multipassed and then turned to next. Attached files [IMG]

    P.S.:

I figured out, that the a.m. procedure works properly, when form is closed but cant manage it when only a curve.

ahh, I see yeah the Phlatscript is a little touchy when it comes to true arcs and curves. I am glad to see you have some of it working.
    Have fun

    Hi Mark & Trish,

unfortunately only half the way, I doubt if I got it all the right way.
see attached image showing a spline in SU8 made with the bezier.rb which I d like to have depth by depth milled.
I tried all the hacks (kwok gcodeutil hack, cant bring it to create a gcode file)
went back to su 7 all without result.

Some lines I got rid of with the retract mod on line 240 in gcodeutil, but the segment wise multipass remains.

    Any idea?

    Hello Mike,
Here is a way you can do it, but its not idea. This is a SketchUcam overlook/bug that we hope will be corrected soon.
    Hope this helps

    Welcome Mike
not at the moment, but you can always offset a centerline for this.
