    Hey guyz,
Just thought it would be cool to try and create different and ground breaking wind turbine designs!
If you have any ideas or links please post as well as any build logs you may have.
This will be a fun project
    Thank you
p.s. this post was supposed to be at the top, but I had to move some things around, you get the idea :)

Here is a simple/inexpensive to build wind turbine project that will give a better understanding for future larger wind turbine projects.
I liked this one because must of us have these things laying around and could build one of these pretty quickly.
If you build one please post :)

I always thought about putting a car alternator on a pole with blades attached, just get a self exciting alternator and let her go.
No inverters needed as a car alternator regulates the voltage output to a max of 14.3 or so volts.

That's a good idea Jeff:good: i just wonder how freely it would spin? I would think the better you could make it spin the better results you would have. When I saw this guy was using one of the little muffin fans and free they spin I thought it would be a good proof of concept.
