I saw this Plane on http://www.Parkjets.com and Knew I have to build it..:) http://www.parkjets.com/x-41.html

You can see how T3CHDAD worked the the canard fin by going to the Rcgroups build log here. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=779331

I have not yet printed this out But will in the near future

I have not posted the Gcode yet as I use a 1/16 bit.
The 28" one I knocked the front off to fit it all onto one sheet.

There is a new verison the X-42 Deltastorm II (Vectored Thrust)... 2 motors wow

    Good deal Glen thanks man,
It's weird that he has the 20" version too :)
I painted mine and the paint ate the foam and turned it into what looks a lot like a lava rock!
Oh well back to the printer to cut another..I'm going to make this one bigger this time
    Mark
Thanks go out to T3chDad and ET for posting this on the Phlatforum. Its really a cool plane!

Gotta be careful on paint selection. The Krylon H2O Latex in a can wont harm the foam.
Walmart sometimes has it, and I read somewhere Michaels craft store might have it too.

    Cool plane!

Mark, I just watched your tutorial/build video. I thought i'd just have a quick look at it, but you sucked me in and I ended up watching the whole 3hrs! It's a great vid and I learned some neat SU tricks that I didn't know about before. I hope you do some more vids like these for other designs...sure beats watching TV :D

    firetrappe,
Thanks man :) I had no idea it went on for that long! man I do get caught up in projects :D
I love the way the ustream put no limit on your recording length so I just hit record and go at it. Thanks for the complement and I will do my best to try and add more(shorter) tutorials/builds in the future.

I managed to cut one of these out but cannot figure out how to put it together. None of the tabs on the fuselage pieces match up with any holes that were cut. Anyone have any suggestions (keep it clean)?

I'm not sure what pieces that you mean. What size did you cut out 30", 20", or Krams micro? The wing slips into the fuse. Then rotate the top pieces as I think they go only one way.

    Hope this helps. :ugeek:

E-T: The wing is actually 22" wide and 15 7/8" in length. The fuse sides are 18 1/4" in length. One of the long pieces (either the top or the bottom of the fuse) is 18 5/8" and the other is 20". There are no slots cut into the fuse long enough to slide onto the wing. The holes in the wing where the vertical stabs should go do not line up with the tabs on the two vertical stabs. There are four other holes in the wing in line with either side of where the fuse should go but I don't know what they are for. I probably should move on to something else. Too bad, really like the idea of this plane.
    Thanks.

You know, Chuck, that's exactly why I prefer not to use the posted cnc code. I check all plans posted here and make sure it's to my liking and then I make my own cnc code.

I think the problem is. The tabs on the fuse have to be cut to let the wing slide in. I know on my cut file it has been done but I'm not sure if Krams is that way?
Ok I checked krams file and you have to cut it out your self here.
yes the tabs for the fins are too long" after checking krams file you can trim the back of them so they fit. The su files on the first post work fine. Both versions 20" and 30" su planes are on the single skp file. I like to make my own CNC files because I use a 1/16" bit. If you want me to send you a CNC file I will. please PM me with your bit size so I can work it up

E-T...I am using a 1/8" bit. I bought a 1/16" but it is a little too short (it seems). I have tried to PM you three times, each time I get kicked off and have to login in again and start over. This is an ongoing problem for me. No big deal. I would greatly appreciate anything you have to offer to help. My email address is hmcss@wmconnect.com if that helps. Since my last posting, I checked the calibration on the Phlatprinter and it was off. I don't know if this explains the fact that the upper and lower strips for the fuse do not line up at all. The tabs are about 1/4" off. Thanks for you offer to help.

    Chuck
