Just realized that I'm not able to post attachments to some of the sub boards. I can see it on this board (the attachment tab) but not some of the others. Weird?

 

You have to click the advanced post reply button before you can add pics. Are you saying that the advanced post reply button is not there?

Yes, in the "CNC Software" board and sub boards, I do not see an "Upload Attachment" tab below. It works in this sub board but not some of the others. I am using the advanced editor as well.

It might have something to do with the file size.
I noticed last night one of my pictures in the x axis tube thread would not go through.
For some reason it was double the file size of the other 2 pics I posted. I shrunk the file size down and it accepted it.
That doesn't explain why it would work in this post and not another but I thought I'd suggest it.

 

No luck so far. It can't be a size issue because the post reply area doesn't have an attachments tab like tin the other sub groups, which means it could be a forum based setting in the UBB config that is different.

Can you check in the CNC Software (and adjacent boards) forum and see if you can post attachments in my Enroute thread? Even when I start a new thread, it still does not show an attachment tab in that group!

Thanks 3dmon, I guess this must mean it is tied to my account privileges. I'm using 3.5.5 Firefox. I've also tried it in the latest (Windows 7) version of IE and get the same results so that eliminates a browser based problem. I'm also up to date on Java.



Any mods want to test my account and verify/trouble shoot the prob?

I ran your account and I have no problems viewing the attachments button or adding attachments.
I will look around more in the privileges section and see what else I can find.
I will let you know here when I do.

I think I may have found the problem TT, It was a permission waaaaayyy at the bottom of the page I missed Sorry about that, it should wok fine now
