    kyyu;

    Wonderful! I have followed the development of Phlatscript, and always trust that he would become one of the best free tools for CNC.
    Thanks to the selfless efforts of developers.

    I'm reinstalling all my apps on a new computer. Just wondering what the general feeling is about SU 8? Should I re-install version 7 or does 8 work with everything just fine?

    Thanks

    Inastale to 8
    8 is better, and has new tools
    In doubt, install the two.

    No reason not to go with SU8, for a fresh install. You can always go back to 7, if your favorite plugin is not working. And 7 & 8 can coexist on the same computer. You will have to use the mod, I posted here, if you want to see the phlatline colors and textures. Other than that the phlascript works fine with SU8. And the new version, of the phlatscript, will be out very soon.

    Is anyone that is using SU8 having problems like crashing all the time just before you go to save? And can you convert SU8 files back to SU7?

    With your file open go to File > Save As and when the save dialog pops up, click the drop down menu right below where you type in your file name, and select Sketchup 7.

    As for crashes, not a lot, but SU8 is running very sluggish on most of my previous SU7 files.

    Thanks I will give it a go tonight. As for my SU8, it runs slow too but I feel more comfortable useing it. Also I tried installing the new PhlatScript to SU8 and works great but now my SU7 no longer has it installed to it? Any ideas?

    Installing to SU8 shouldn't effect SU7. I have them both installed, also. You can check the preferences/extension and the toolbar menu to see if it is still there.

    Yes, I have the crashing problem. Pretty much everytime I use it. Think I'm going back to SU7
