As of now we are not producing the Spyderquad from the PVC material and will be looking at new materials that would work for this design. The PVC was not able to handle impacts
Thanks for helping with the beta testing Glen :good:

The key to "soft" landings on this type of frame is found at a local Dollar Tree, Walmart or Pool Supply. Get a piece of "Pool Noodle" and cut from it pieces about 3" long to slip over each landing "leg". Hold it in place with a toothpick or a piece of bamboo skewer through the pool noodle and the lower notch in the landing leg or strut. If you compress the pool noodle a tiny bit when placing the toothpick it will be a snug fit. In a hard landing the pool noodle acts as a shock absorber and the toothpick will shear away in a very severe landing but is easily replaced.

I use this method on my DJI Clone Frames and have yet to break an arm. I also use different colors of pool noodle front and back to help with orientation while flying.

Kydex might be an alternative material for the frame as it is pretty tough. Delrin also might be an acceptable substitute.

Thats a great idea Thurmond and would have helped a lot. I have to say this PVC was not a good choice at all for this project. In the cold temps it got even worse.
One of the guyz here (BlindFlight) has mentioned that he may work this up for 1/8" material and maybe 1/16" as well. So at that point we could use G10 (or better) and see how well it holds up to the trials of learning to do quad flips over the concrete :D
    Thanks for the tip

Thanks Paule, and thanks for posting the video ET
I am not sure why a lot of the video links are messed up but for some reason there are some that say removed by use even if I did not remove them.
I think the be solution for the Spyder quad would be a fiberglass board, but your welcome to try out all kinds of materials. The files are there so your free to use them.
Also make sure to check out some of the other quad designs here
